My Story
Hanso Drums was set up by myself, Roy Shephard, born from a love for rhythm and anything drums. I  strive to inspire drummers of all levels with vibrant lessons and tools to help each student achieve their goals. 
I started playing drums in Year 6, 40 years ago and have played drums almost everyday since.  With the support of my drum teacher I joined my first band at 14 years old and have played musical styles from funk, disco, reggae, rock and samba.  I still play in bands and gig locally every few weeks. Basically I have been lucky enough to turn my passion into a career.

The structure of  drum lessons is always tailored to the individual, supporting them with specific projects and goals. 
Grades -  If pupils wish to pursue musical grades, I offer full coaching through the Trinity Rock & Pop syllabus. 
I believe  every lesson should be fun, enjoyable and want pupils to leave each lesson energised and feeling that they have achieved something.
